Stack them like a log cabin and dip in maple syrup. These pumpkin french toast sticks have the perfect crunch and make breakfast fun, for a 3 year old girl and a 55 year old father.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Oat mik
1 tbsp Corn starch
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
4 Slices of gluten-free bread
1 tbsp Vegan butter
1/4 cup Granulated sugar
2 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
Steps:
In a medium sized bowl, combine oat milk, corn starch, vanilla, and cinnamon and whisk together.
Cut gluten-free bread's crust off and then into sticks; 3 sticks per slice for a total of 12 sticks.
Heat a skillet to medium-high heat and coat with vegan butter.
Soak sticks in batter for a few seconds each side.
After sticks are soaked, place on skillet for ~3 minutes each sides, until brown and crisp.
In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and pumpkin pie spice.
When the sticks are crisp, place into bowl of sugar and pumpkin pie spice to coat.
Stack on a plate and pair with berries, powdered sugar, and syrup.
