Apple Dessert Nachos | Top 8 Allergen Free

Thanksgiving meals are not something I have mastered yet and it seems like other allergy-friendly food and EoE blogs have amazing recipes to share. Instead, I am sharing a quick, high protein, mid-day snack to keep your stomach happy and full until dinner. Or a delicious, semi-healthy dessert for post-dinner sweet tooth cravings. This recipe is inspired by one of my best friends and roommates who eats this for a lunch snack nearly every day.

Ingredients:

1 Apple of your choice (I used Honeycrisp)

2 tbsp Sunflower seed butter

1 tbsp Honey

Steps:

  1. Wash and cut your apple, to your liking and then place on a plate. I followed these instructions for ~aesthetics~

  2. In a small dish, pour chocolate chips in and place in the microwave for 15 seconds. Take out and stir, and then place back in the microwave for 15 seconds. Repeat until melted.

  3. Using a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over the apple slices.

  4. Repeat this for peanut butter, melting in the microwave and then drizzling over apple slices.

  5. If desired, microwave honey for a few seconds and then squeeze over the apples.

  6. Optional: sprinkle granola over top.
